First Holy Communion & Reconciliation

Building Block of Faith

Baptized children in second grade or older and their parents are invited to prepare for the sacraments of Eucharist and Reconciliation.  Participants need to be registered and active members of the parish and attend six sessions in the fall for Eucharist and six sessions in the winter for Reconciliation.  Classes begin in October with a break at Christmas, concluding before Easter.

Based on the curriculum presented in Call to Celebrate: Eucharist, children preparing for First Holy Communion follow a liturgical-catechetical path in three steps: celebrate, remember, and live.  To find out more about the curriculum source visit the Call to Celebrate: Eucharist website.

Children celebrate Reconciliation during the season of Lent and schedule First Eucharist after Easter.  Contact the Parish Office for more information.

FOR FURTHER INFORMATION OR SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES PLEASE CALL THE PARISH DIRECTOR OF FAITH FORMATION.
