Sunday Whole Parish Catechesis

Whole Community Catechesis is lifelong faith formation for all ages and generations in the entire parish community. This faith renewal is guided by the ancient assumption that it is the parish, and each member of the community, that is the primary communicator of Christian tradition and practices. It is the whole community that hands on the faith from one generation to the next. It begins with the entire faith community gathered around the table of the Lord for Sunday Eucharist. The experience of the liturgy deepens as the entire community gathers after mass for faith sharing based on the Sunday celebration of Mass. It continues with some form of catechesis to help us understand and deepen our understanding of the faith. Participants, of all ages, say that this way of learning is nourishing for them because it fulfills the deep desire within them for a richer and more nourishing spiritual life.
