Good day, I am not sure if I am addressing to the right place. My name is Sylvan Leblanc. I am a law enforcement/police offcier in Québec, Canada. Last fall, I received a prayer shawl for my mother (which is fighting a breast cancer) from Sheriff T.J. Mcermott, afte I sent him a letter regarding the fact that his office were flashing pink shoulder patches in support for a cure. He very kindly sent me a sample of that patch and, enclosed, was a pink / purple colored, woolen, blessed praying shawl. There was a littel prayer as well. I wanted to do something to thank him and the minister who blessed it. My mom was very touched and she appreciated the attention more than she could say. Then, so am I.

I would like to know if the shawl came from your Parrish and, if so, who can I send a little something to. If not, can you help me in this mather?

    Thank you for your help

Sylvain Leblanc (Sorry for the writing. I am French speaking and doing my best! 🙂

The prayer shawl is likely to have been provided by “Martha’s Ministries” in Missoula. Perhaps you received yours from Joan Dodge of Blessed Trinity parish. If you wish to contact her you may do so through Blessed Trinity, 1475 Eaton Street, Missoula, MT 59801.
      Thank you.
      Fr. Ed Hislop, Pastor
